M365 User: Working with M365 Groups

    Bydefault, email will only go to the group.  
    • By default email will not go to your Inbox, but you can easily “subscribe” to the group to receive copies of group messages in your inbox
    • the group can be also added to your Favorites making it easy to find at the top of your Outlook folder list

      How to Manage Your Microsoft 365 Group Email Subscription


       Step 1: OpenOutlook (Web or Desktop)

       

       Step 2:Navigate to the Group

      • In the left-hand navigation pane, scroll down to the Groups section (usually at the bottom)
      • Click on the name of the group you belong to.
          

       Step 3: Openthe Group Contact Card

      • Click on the group name at the top of the message list to open the group contact card.
          

       Step 4: Usethe “Follow in Inbox” Toggle

      • In the group card, look for the “Follow in Inbox” toggle.
      • Toggle ON: You’ll receive all group conversations and calendar events in your personal inbox.
      • Toggle OFF: You’ll only receive replies to your posts, messages where you're mentioned, and group events — reducing inbox clutter.

       

      Note: This setting is per group, so you can customizeit differently for each group you’re a member of
